what is a value proposition?

It's a sentence or a statement that presents the value your product or service has to offer to the intended audience. meaning your product or service has a way of helping your audience achieve something in some ways.

the way a business defines or presents its value proposition will define whether its audiences will be compelled to buy or click out.

why is it important to a business?

every business or brand has a product or service they sell, it doesn't mean they will buy or not. the product or services may be good or produce an outcome . the value proposition is about giving your audience the reason to buy from you rather than your competitors.

how to write that irresistible value proposition.

as they say there many ways to get something done but there is way to get it right- chukwuma peter okonkwo

there are so many ways to write a value proposition but there is a way to get it right. before you think of writing a value proposition to make competitors feel what is going on. there are three (3) things you need to consider.

  1. define your audience.
  2. define what you do ( what do your business you do).
  3. define your unique ways to get that awesome result that your business gives.

Define your audience.

some business owners overemphasized this a lot. it's like leading a crowd without directions. you have to define your audience, you must get this right, it's not just about your regular audience but you have to define your audience inside out. for your value proposition to resonate with your audience you have to clearly state your audience . eg: if your address your audience as a small business they may not resonate with that but if you address them in particular to their space or niche you're sure to get there attention.

define what you do?

what do you do as a business? what outcome does your business produce than your competitors to meet the needs of your audiences .eg: your business might be a virtual assistant business, and your services might be email marketing, data entry, or customer onboarding. what is the outcome your audiences will get after engaging with your brand or business? you want to focus here and make the outcome unique. eg: your outcome might be to help successful business owners obey the 80/20 rule by providing time for other things like family and other business core needs.

define the unique way you do it.

how are you going to deliver the result you promised on your value proposition. it focuses on the way you are going to bring your desired outcome to life. you have to focus on the way you are going to do it. eg: if you are helping smart business owners obey the 80/20 rule your unique way might be to create a results-driven system that gets your customer their desired results.
